About Us

Wheelbase Media

Wheelbase Media supplies automotive-themed stories, photos, artwork, puzzles, infographics, new-vehicle guides, periodicals, Apple iPad app development and other related services to hundreds of newspapers and Web sites across North America.

The company, founded in 1995, has a reputation for providing a huge range of topics and the most striking design of any syndicated news service. This is because the company was founded on the principle of developing readership, first and foremost, and is supported by trained journalists, designers and marketing professionals whose main goal is to provide content that people actual want and need.

Three levels of content service:

1) A news service: Pick the content you want for your publication from our 15 categories, contact us, and we can generally have you up and running within a day. The fee you pay is based on one-time print rights and, just like cable TV, you remain a subscriber until you serve us with written notice (from 30-180 days depending on the arrangement).

2) The MediaStore: Pay for and download exactly the content you need for your publication when you need it. Perfect for one-time or occasional use, or for purchasing collections of features with similar themes, such as sports cars, anything “hemi” related or perhaps for a special Porsche section you’re doing, or maybe even a special feature on 10 automotive pioneers, or even 10 stories relating to the Chevrolet Corvette. The store offers the greatest content flexibility.

3) Auto Shift Weekly magazine: If you’re not a member of the media but you’d still like read our stories on a regular basis, we’ve just launched the perfect product for you. Click here to see Auto Shift Weekly, a new weekly automotive newsmag that showcases Wheelbase Media’s content, whether you’re into classic rides, cool car people, gadgets, hot weekly news, our green report, or any of our other great features. It’s magazine like no other and, guess what, it’s weekly and not monthly or . . . whenever . . . which is the case with most blog sites out there.
